Dear Friend!
My name is Péter Pauljucsák. I am a Hungarian watch enthusiast living in Budapest, one of the trendiest capitals right now.
I have brought the RODUN project alive basically on my own, supported by only a couple of great friends. I had the vision, that it is possible to produce a cool watch for men and women, and simultaneously fight for economical preservation.
From my first visions until the actual prototypes I have been working on RODUN for now more than two years. I have never thought it was so extremely difficult to create the best watch I can imagine in an affordable price range without any compromise in design and quality.
Finalizing the designs from scratch, figuring out the perfect name with matching fonts, finding and partnering the ideal nonprofit organization for the charity case all took me months.
In the meantime I have contacted more than 100 manufacturers around the world to find the perfect partner for every little detail that makes RODUN a ‘one-in-a-lifetime’ classic watch.
All I wanted at the beginning is a beautiful and unique watch that makes it easily recognizable on the market, paired with a truly effective, global charity case. Well, I think I have succeeded at the end. The prototypes are ready, tested and working like a charm. No matter how hard it was, I truly enjoyed every second of this creative process, and would put myself under all the pressure, anxiety and excitement again and again.
And here we added some extra spice: RODUN has some really impressive assets concerning the alleviation of our economical footprints, namely saving some rainforests.
How do we do that? The answer is super simple! We all want to make the world a better place if possible, am I right? Our planet has been a home for our ancestors for ages, and sustainability is definitely a must for all of us if we still intend to stay on this planet for a while!
So I figured out that in the name of the brand I want to make the biggest impact with a still manageable solution. If I help I might as well help everybody not just my family and my children. Not just my country, but Earth itself. So I needed a global plan.
The more I studied rainforests and the pollution and damage people constantly make, I became so sure, that here lies the perfect cause for RODUN to embrace.
I have chosen to donate Rainforest Trust a certain portion of every purchase, because I truly believe that they are the best in the world at conserving global rainforests. While I was researching NGOs, I was immediately drawn to Rainforest Trust because 100 percent of their project donations go to support conservation throughout the world.
My dream is to make this watch available for anybody who falls in love with our mission, the design or the high-quality of RODUN’s final products.
I hope wearing a RODUN N° 1 and protecting rainforests will bring you joy very soon!
